Mr. Malayil was appointed as Central Government Standing Counsel for two consecutive terms. Considering his expertise and knowledge in criminal law, he was also appointed as Special Public Prosecutor for Narcotic Control Bureau in High Court of Karnataka. He along with his team is also empaneled with private and nationalized banks in India.

Mr. Siji Malayil has conducted various workshops imparting knowledge on Human rights and related law at various forums and institutions, including as visiting faculty to some of the prominent Educational institutions.
